|The tour begins with a visit to the Apartheid museum, where you will learn how apartheid specifically affected Durban. We will then move on to the Victoria Street Market, which is the most well known Indian market in the city. A visit to the largest mosque in the southern hemisphere can also be arranged. We then take a drive through the center of Durban passing the old train station, post office and the city hall. The harbor entrance is our next port of call, with wonderful views of Durban. We then visit the beachfront, where we will have drinks at one of the famous bars along the Golden Mile. We then visit one of the most diverse townships in Durban, called Cato Manor. We will be joined by a local community guide, who will take you to projects and developments in the township. He will also tell you of life in South Africa’s townships.Other activities that you could include in a tour of Durban: Botanic Gardens, Maritime Museum, Sharks Board, African arts and craft centers.

|Township Tours: Visit Cato Manor Township in the heart of Durban with your local community guide. The guide was born and has grown up in Cato Manor and will be able to explain all the ins and outs of township life. You will visit development projects, schools in the township and the many different types of housing development found in most townships around the country.
